LGV Class 2 Driver - Croydon

LGV Driver Class 2

This role is in support of Cencora's wholesale distribution services in Europe operating through our Alliance Healthcare business. To ensure the speedy, efficient and accurate delivery of assembled products and invoices to the customer within corporate guidelines.

Location: Croydon

Days/Shifts: 48 hours per week Monday to Friday + alternative Saturdays (5 days week 1 & 6 days week 2 - alternate)

**start at 5am - some occasional night work may be required**

Salary: £40,535.04

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and competent standard of driving, observing speed limits and other traffic signs and giving due regard to other road users.
• Have a daily check to ensure that your vehicle is in a roadworthy condition including a check of the lights, brakes, coolant, etc.
• Report any faults, breakdowns, accidents or delays.
• Abide by all tacho-graph laws and ensure daily/weekly rests are taken as required
• Ensure all Proof of Deliveries listed on drop sheets have been delivered to customers and report any shortages to the transport department before leaving the customer.
• Upon receipt of collection request, collect goods returned from external customers as instructed by the transport staff.
• Maintain the internal and external condition of the vehicle together with the cleanliness of the vehicle.
• Ensure sufficient quantities of fuel have been taken for the day's work.
• Maintain the security of the vehicle and its contents at all times.
• Check all orders shown on the dropsheets and ensure all orders are loaded on the vehicle.
• Ensure damages/breakages are dealt with promptly and correctly with due regard to special procedures for HazChems.
• Maintain a smart appearance at all times.
• Help maintain good customer relations.
• Maintain good communications with the transport staff based at the service centre.
• Be involved in other duties as may be defined from time to time by the Management.
• Meet all Health & Safety requirements.

Manual Handling

It should be noted that manual handling tasks such as lifting and bending are "essential requirements" of this role.
