Job Summary and Qualifications

The Registered Nurse ECMO Specialist coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. The RN ECMO Specialist performs Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) therapy to support patients with impaired heart and lung function. The RN serves as an advocate for patients and supports an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

  • Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
  • Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
  • Prepare and operate clinical equipment and circuitry per ECMO policies.
  • Maintain and assess ECMO circuit function.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and recommend revisions to the multidisciplinary care team.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation.
  • Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
  • No Travel Required
  • 3 years experience Required Years of Experience
