Business Development Director

ICE Data Services delivers high-quality content, connectivity, and execution services through an ultra-secure, highly resilient global network. As a critical backbone for financial and commodity market information flow, it connects the global market community to the broadest range of data sources — including proprietary and third-party content — and trading venues in a safe, efficient manner.

We are looking for an innovative and dynamic subject matter expert to lead business development for our ICE Global Network (IGN) and Consolidated Feeds services across the Asia Pacific region. Partnering closely with internal stakeholders — including Sales, Relationship Management, Product, and Marketing teams — as well as external clients, prospects, and partners, the Business Development Director will drive meaningful commercial growth. The role is central to helping clients access a broad universe of low-latency, aggregated, and normalized multi-asset financial information sourced from hundreds of global venues.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales and relationship management teams to drive revenue growth and identify cross-selling opportunities across ICE's broader suite of services.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for IGN and Consolidated Feeds, clearly articulating product capabilities, content coverage, and delivery options to clients and prospects.
• Identify and pursue new distribution opportunities for consolidated real-time market data across banks, asset managers, hedge funds, ISVs, and redistributors — including cross-sell opportunities with IGN.
• Lead the development of go-to-market strategies for IGN and ICE Consolidated Feeds across Asia Pacific, including competitive positioning against direct exchange feeds and other consolidated feed providers.
• Contribute to new product development and regional strategy for IGN, bringing a deep understanding of APAC market structure and client needs.
• Gather and synthesise client requirements around content, latency, symbology, normalisation, entitlements, and technical onboarding; channel market intelligence to Product and Development teams to inform the roadmap.
• Monitor and assess the competitive landscape, identifying threats and opportunities that could impact our market position.
• Track regulatory developments and market data policy changes — including evolving exchange licensing models — and evaluate their commercial and operational implications.
• Represent ICE Data Services externally as a thought leader, engaging regularly with clients and prospects, speaking at industry events, and maintaining a visible presence across relevant professional and social media channels.
• Travel regularly across the Asia Pacific region to build and deepen client relationships.

Knowledge and Experience

• 5–10 years of experience with a network or hosting provider, market data or information services firm, data vendor, ISV, redistributor, or financial institution.
• University degree in Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Knowledge of network solutions and an understanding of the trading strategies they support across the Asia Pacific region.
• Strong expertise in real-time market data distribution and consolidated feeds, including delivery considerations such as latency, normalisation, entitlements, and onboarding across multiple asset classes.
• Broad familiarity with the market data ecosystem — including exchanges, data vendors, ISVs, and redistributors — and how buy-side and sell-side firms consume depth-of-market and reference data.
• Ability to engage fluently with clients on global financial concepts, market structure, and data infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to leverage sophisticated AI tools to accelerate research, enhance client engagement strategies, and support commercial decision-making.
• Established network of contacts across financial institutions, market data vendors, and technology providers in the Asia Pacific region.
• Excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging across technical and business audiences.
• Strong presentation skills and executive presence, with experience engaging senior stakeholders.
• Ability to operate effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative, cross-functional team.
