Position Responsibilities:
- Achieves a minimum of 90% of productivity goals and 100% of activity goals as established by management while leading direct reports to meet property sales goals and holding them accountable to their responsibilities.
- Executes a strong direct sales program through targeted, appointment-based calls, requiring reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Maximizes key accounts and drives new business through networking, research, and strategic prospecting, including targeted account development plans and ongoing "hit list" execution.
- Implements eCommerce and digital marketing strategies while promoting the brand story in the market to increase profitability.
- Continuously adjusts sales strategies based on market trends to achieve optimal business mix and exceed revenue, profit, and occupancy goals.
- Maintains a strong understanding of competition, hotel operations, and current sales techniques while actively prospecting through telemarketing, creativity, and innovation.
- Utilizes yield management practices to negotiate rates and optimize function space for maximum financial performance.
- Maintains organized and accurate account management systems, develops detailed customer profiles, and ensures timely follow-up on all client inquiries.
- Builds strong client relationships through professional, courteous, and ethical interactions, delivering exceptional service.
- Conducts ongoing market research to capitalize on opportunities and strengthen competitive positioning while prioritizing revenue-generating activities and dedicating the majority of time to direct sales efforts.
- Manages expenses responsibly, represents The Ben and Sage Hospitality with the highest level of professionalism and integrity, and fosters a collaborative team environment through strong communication across departments.
- Maintains a polished, business-like appearance and a positive, service-driven attitude at all times.
Education/Formal Training: Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent. Experience: 4+ years of hotel sales management experience Knowledge/Skills:
- 3-5 years sales management experience
- Requires knowledge of general sales techniques, yield management, and customer service skills.
- Ability to Travel
- Requires the ability to hear, speak, read and write English fluently.
- Requires 12th grade level mathematics, spelling and reading skills.
- Requires effective business writing skills.
- Vision to read fine print and computer screens, to see colors, to observe rooms in poorly lit conditions
- Understand and follow verbal/written instructions.
- Organized. Be able to work on more than one task at a time.

- Must have dexterity/mobility to meet clients on and off premises, to tour property and attend functions, to climb stairs, and operate basic office equipment.
