Assistant Director of Sales
We are looking for an Assistant Director of Sales to support the commercial leadership of the property, helping drive revenue performance. The Assistant Director of Sales supports the execution of the hotel's sales strategy across key segments including transient, group, corporate, and leisure. Working closely with the Director of Sales and Marketing, this role contributes to achieving revenue goals, expanding market share, and building long-term client relationships.
The position combines strategic thinking with day-to-day commercial execution, ensuring every opportunity is managed with professionalism, efficiency, and a strong focus on brand standards.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Revenue
- Support the implementation of the hotel's sales strategy across assigned market segments.
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to revenue growth.
- Assist in achieving room, group, and catering revenue targets.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities.
Account Management & Business Development
- Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, agencies, and key partners.
- Conduct sales calls, site inspections, client meetings, and networking activities.
- Support business conversion through proposals, contracts, and commercial follow-up.
Commercial Planning & Reporting
- Work closely with Revenue Management and Sales leadership on forecasting and commercial planning.
- Maintain accurate account data, reporting, and sales activity tracking.
- Review performance results and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Guest Experience & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operational teams to ensure smooth execution of contracted business.
- Maintain a high level of service throughout the client journey.
- Represent the hotel in line with the elevated service culture of W Rome.
What We Are Looking For
- Previous experience in hospitality sales, or luxury commercial environments.
- Strong understanding of group, transient, and corporate business segments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Commercial mindset with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- Fluent English required; additional languages are a plus.
- Valid EU Passport or Italy work permit
