Director Of Marketing, Asia Pacific Region (APR)

The Director of Marketing, Asia Pacific Region (APR) will report to the Chief Marketing Officer and will support the APR Managing Partner, Regional Chief Operating Officer and APR Leadership Team in driving full funnel marketing initiatives, brand awareness and commercial impact. The role is a highly strategic thought leader and partner to the APR Leadership Team and its component Practice Leaders across the region, by leveraging a deep understanding of the business, aligning recommendations with firm and regional strategies and priorities, ensuring integration and collaboration with key Oliver Wyman functions, industries and capabilities, and being accountable for delivering results according to an agreed upon Marketing Plan and key metrics of success. Doing so requires leveraging Marketing best practices, data, discipline, talent, and culture and an understanding of the different markets within the Asia Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Works closely with the APR Managing Partner and Regional Chief Operating Officer to shape and execute the marketing and communications strategy for the region and regularly update progress against that strategy, incorporating feedback from internal stakeholders and external clients
- Serves as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to the APR Leadership Team, influencing decision-making through marketing expertise, client insight and marketing intelligence
- Develops a deep understanding of Oliver Wyman's business priorities across industries and capabilities and aligns regional marketing initiatives to support firm and regional strategy
- Ensures strong collaboration and alignment with global marketing teams, industry and capability leaders, and other key functions to adapt global initiatives effectively for the APR market
Commercial growth and go-to-market leadership:
- Drives Marketing's contribution to commercial growth by partnering with practice leaders to support priority revenue opportunities and strengthen client engagement across the region
- Develops and executes integrated go-to-market programs for priority industries, capabilities and strategic themes, leveraging content, digital channels, and events to maximise client reach and engagement
- Shapes and delivers high-impact client engagement initiatives including flagship regional events, executive roundtables and strategic convenings that strengthen relationships with senior client stakeholders
- Enables Partners and senior leaders with marketing platforms, messaging, and content that support effective client engagement and thought leadership
Brand, thought leadership, and market presence:
- Strengthens Oliver Wyman's brand and reputation across APR by amplifying thought leadership, insights, and perspectives relevant to the region's most important business issues
- Leads the region's public relations strategy, driving proactive media engagement that positions Oliver Wyman and its experts as trusted voices on critical business, economic, and industry issues across APR markets; leads response to media enquiries (including adverse media)
- Builds and manages relationships with key media outlets, journalists, and influencers across the region, ensuring consistent, high-quality visibility for Oliver Wyman's insights and expertise
- Partners with global communications and regional leadership to identify and elevate priority stories, coordinating media engagement around major reports, research, and firm announcements
- Leads employee brand and thought leadership initiatives across APR, developing and executing social media and digital advocacy strategies that elevate Oliver Wyman's employer brand, amplify consultant voices, and position the firm as a top destination for talent
- Advances the region's digital marketing capabilities, including social media, web, and digital content distribution, to expand reach and engagement with priority audiences
Marketing operations, team leadership, and effectiveness:
- Oversees the APR Marketing team (inclusive of marketing and internal communications) and regional marketing budget and, in conjunction with the Chief Marketing Officer and Regional Chief Operating Officer, defines an agile service model and operational engine to support the APR business
- Builds and leads a high-performing regional Marketing team that is aligned with business priorities, empowered to deliver impact, and continuously learning from the market and one another
- Establishes clear marketing priorities and execution plans while maintaining agility to respond to evolving market dynamics and business needs
- Leverages marketing analytics, performance metrics, and client insights to measure effectiveness, inform strategy, and optimize marketing investments across the region
- Coordinates closely with internal functions including Legal & Compliance, Talent Management, Human Capital, Events, Internal Communications and Design Studio to support broader firm and regional priorities
