US Launch Team Director, HIV Prevention Asset
Join the US launch team for an investigational Phase III HIV prevention asset to design and execute strategic external partnerships that expand access to PrEP (Pre-exposure Prophylaxis). This hybrid role is based in Upper Gwynedd, PA with ~25% domestic travel. The Director will own partnership strategy and execution for Direct-to-Patient (DtP) and retail/community pharmacy channels, manage a small team, and partner across Marketing, Legal/Compliance, Regulatory, IAM (Integrated Account Management), Data & Analytics, Pharmacy, Communications, Learning & Development and Ecosystem Leads to operationalize DtP capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure launch and infrastructure optimization, including rapid integration into existing PrEP DtP solutions and identification of new partners to reach a broad audience
- Conduct DtP landscape analysis, understand data sets, partnership model options, infrastructure and recommend optimal approach(es)
- Serve as subject matter expert for market understanding of distribution strategies, preferred channels, and consumer insights for PrEP
- Establish external partnerships, including defining the core components of an effective model, quantify ROI, outline implementation pathway, and clearly understand and incorporate legal and compliance considerations
- Evaluate ability to partner with marketing team and external partner(s) to develop promotional campaigns, marketing solutions, and define and track key performance indicators
Retail Pharmacy:
- Conduct landscape assessment of current pharmacist prescribing of PrEP in collaboration with policy and payer teams
- Develop a pharmacist strategy aimed to increase pharmacist's ability/willingness to prescribe or dispense PrEP, including plans to address possible implementation barriers
- Develop strategic programs and promotional materials, metrics and execution strategy for field-facing teams in pharmacy setting across sales and account management
Strategic Leadership:
- Translate Phase III timelines into an actionable partnership roadmap and launch integration plan for the first 6–12 months (partner identification/selection, pilots, onboarding, regulatory readiness)
- Communicate strategic priorities and execution plans through concise, persuasive presentations to internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners
- Establish and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with key external partners
- Coordinate review and approval workflows with Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance
- Contribute to broader portfolio strategy by providing insights and recommendations on go-to-market approaches and cross-brand synergies
- Partner with other marketing team leaders to drive transparency, coordination, and prioritization across the team, while enabling teams to quickly and effectively respond to changing business needs and ecosystem dynamics
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent (BA/BS). MBA or equivalent preferred
Requirements:
- Minimum 10 years experience in pharmaceutical marketing, customer segment/payer marketing, or equivalent, with prior people leadership experience
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing third-party partnerships or alliances (telehealth, pharmacy, patient support, advocacy, public health), including contracting or commercial negotiation experience
- Proven ability to work in regulated environments and partner effectively with Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance
- Strong communicator and influencer with experience aligning cross-functional partners and senior stakeholders with ability to deliver clear and compelling presentations
- Comfort working in ambiguity and leading through change
Preferred Skills:
- HIV and/or public health experience
- Familiarity with omnichannel marketing and digital channel integration
- Product launches and pre-launch commercialization activities
- Experience leveraging claims, EMR, or telehealth data to inform strategy
