The job:
Security Officer IVs provide advanced security through proactive presence, rapid emergency response, and the skill to intervene when safety is on the line.
The day-to-day:
- Patrol and monitor all areas of the property, provide excellent guest service to guests and employees, and act as a first responder in emergency situations
- Perform gaming drops/transactions, including carrying drop boxes and chip carriers
- Resolve complaints and issues involving both guests and employees; write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as property damage, theft, guest or employee accidents, or unusual occurrences
- Patrol and monitor the exterior of the premises by operating a bicycle or company vehicle
- Full time assignment to key control and monitor alarm system and surveillance cameras
- Act as a dispatcher to relay information, messages and/or emergencies to or from appropriate personnel using telephones or two-way radios during high volume/special events
- Conduct specialty training on, but not limited to defensive tactics, CPR/AED, etc. and act as a principle firearm instructor
- Circulate among visitors, patrons, or employees to preserve order and protect property as a plain clothes investigator
- Provide executive protection as needed
The ideal candidate:
- High school diploma or GED is required
- 1+ years of prior relevant experience in customer service experience is required
- 1+ years of prior relevant experience as a security officer level III is required
- Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays is required
- Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with all business contacts is required

Pay rate:
$25.65
This rate represents a good faith estimate of the wage rate that MGM reasonably expects to pay for the position upon hire. Pay will not be below any applicable minimum wage. Should overtime be worked, employees are paid overtime pay in accordance with state requirements. Employees in this position are eligible to participate in medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) plans, and time off plans.
