Your Career As the Director, Marketing and Technical Operations, you will partner with IT to lead the design, governance, and optimization of enterprise-grade AI and data platforms that enable our marketing operations and journey activations across omnichannel. This role requires a strategic leader with deep technical expertise, proven operational excellence, and the ability to drive innovation across global data ecosystems. You will own the realtime decision capabilities and data enrichment needed to provide ad targeting and content personalization. You will also be a strategic partner for the IT team on all marketing roadmaps and requirements, providing marketing expertise and assuring accountability towards joint deliverables.
Your Impact Define and execute the marketing AI and data platform vision aligned with enterprise and marketing objectives. This platform should automate marketing processes, campaign execution, ad serving intelligence and ROI insights. Lead the development of scalable, secure, and high-performance AI-driven data solutions including RAG and EDA. Partner with IT and engineering teams to embed and integrate scalable AI. Oversee the design and management of modern data architectures (cloud-native, hybrid, multi-cloud) as well as mission critical pipeline generation capabilities. Partner on architectural design and lead business requirements for enterprise-grade customer data platform (CDP). Ensure seamless data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration across global systems including marketing automation platforms, ad servers, and CRM. Drive automation and operational efficiency in data pipelines, model deployment, and monitoring. Establish and enforce marketing data governance frameworks in line with enterprise governance frameworks. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and other industry standards. Collaborate with IT, cybersecurity and devops teams to safeguard AI models and data platforms. Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies (LLMs, generative AI, agentic AI, predictive analytics) into marketing workflows and data intelligence operations. Pilot innovative AI-driven tools that enhance customer experience and marketing operations. Lead advanced analytics efforts aimed at lifting deep insights and predictive model within collected behavior and intent data to further drive operational scale and efficiency. Lead the deployment of enterprise-grade customer data platforms supporting real-time decisioning, activation, analytics and AI workloads for marketing. Partner with DevOps to optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Partner with DevOps to implement best practices for MLOps, DevOps, and continuous delivery of AI solutions. Communicate technical strategies and outcomes to executive leadership and non-technical stakeholders. Mentor and develop technical talent, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning. Assure excellence in lead and data flow across the marketing ecosystem Mentoring and coaching MOPS team on end to end data and lead flow practices and systems.
Qualifications (Additional Job Description) Your Experience Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in data architecture, data engineering, or machine learning engineering, with at least 3 years focused on architecting solutions for large-scale enterprise marketing systems. Expert-level proficiency and hands-on experience designing and managing modern data architectures (data lakes, data warehouses, real-time streaming) in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or a multi-cloud environment. Proven expertise in the Adobe Marketing and Experience Cloud, specifically leading the design, implementation, and integration of an enterprise-grade Customer Data Platform (CDP) such as Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), or similar enterprise CDPs. Demonstrated track record in the development and deployment of production-ready AI/ML solutions, including experience with Generative AI, Predictive Modeling and MLOps and DevOps. Proven ability to define a multi-year data and AI platform strategy that successfully translates enterprise and marketing objectives into clear technical roadmaps and execution plans. Extensive experience partnering with IT, Cybersecurity, Engineering, and DevOps teams to integrate AI models and data platforms securely into core marketing applications and workflows. Expert knowledge of global data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA) and a history of establishing and enforcing robust marketing data governance and security frameworks. Demonstrated ability to drive automation and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency in high-volume, global environments. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical data strategies and business outcomes clearly to executive leadership and non-technical marketing stakeholders. Proven experience mentoring and coaching technical teams (Marketing Operations, Data Scientists) on complex data and lead flow practices, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability.
Compensation Disclosure The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below.
