Chief Operating Officer – PIMCO, EVP
As Chief Operating Officer – PIMCO, EVP, you will have accountability across the following areas:
PIMCO Operating & Technology Strategy
- Set and execute a PIMCO-focused global operating and technology strategy aligned with both PIMCO's growth objectives and State Street's enterprise priorities.
- Ensure operating and technology roadmaps support scale, asset complexity, transaction volumes, and evolving business models.
- Translate PIMCO's strategic priorities into clear execution plans, investment sequencing, and measurable delivery outcomes.
Global Operations Leadership
- Lead global operations, technology modernization, and fund-related activities supporting PIMCO across the full-service relationship.
- Ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery across:
- Onboarding and migration of new products and fund launches
- Trade processing and settlement
- Client servicing and stakeholder engagement
- Regulatory, audit, and oversight interactions
- Maintain accountability for end-to-end service performance, resilience, and client experience.
Technology, Data & Digitization
- Own technology modernization and digital capabilities supporting PIMCO, including platform modernization, data integration, and automation.
- Drive delivery of a digitized operating model that reduces reliance on legacy, highly customized solutions.
- Partner closely with Global Technology Services and Client Implementation to align PIMCO-specific requirements with State Street Alpha and enterprise platforms, avoiding fragmentation and unmanaged risk.
Risk, Controls & Governance
- Maintain executive accountability for operational, technology, and business risk across PIMCO's book of business.
- Ensure robust controls, governance, and oversight consistent with Global Delivery's operational risk framework.
- Oversee vendor management, data governance, and third-party risk as they relate to PIMCO service delivery.
- Serve as a senior leader in regulatory and audit engagements connected to PIMCO.
Transformation, Productivity & Operating Leverage
- Drive productivity, efficiency, and operating leverage through data-driven decision-making and modernization initiatives.
- Represent PIMCO in large-scale operating model transformation programs (e.g., Client Pathways).
- Ensure Global Delivery simplification investments deliver measurable improvements in resilience, scalability, and client satisfaction.
Client Partnership & Executive Engagement
- Act as a senior executive sponsor and strategic partner to PIMCO leadership, building trust, transparency, and long-term alignment.
- Ensure State Street's operating model evolves in step with PIMCO's platform, product, and growth strategies.
- Represent PIMCO priorities in enterprise investment, governance, and capacity planning forums.
People, Scale & Financial Management
- Lead a large, global organization supporting PIMCO across regions.
- Manage a substantial annual operating budget (>$200M) with accountability for financial discipline and return on investment.
- Build and sustain a workforce capable of supporting complex fixed income, derivatives, collateral, and high-volume trading environments.

- Strategic thinker with the ability to manage complexity, prioritize effectively, and lead through change.
Salary Range:
$300,000 - $412,500 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
